Head of Talent Operations

• Build Kairos's talent operations function combining internal recruiting, ecosystem headhunting, and grantmaking.
• Own Kairos's hiring pipeline end-to-end as the organisation scales from 7 to 20 people.
• Build relationships with AI safety organisations and place early-career talent into high-impact roles.
• Set grantmaking strategy and make funding decisions for the Career Development and Transition Fund.

This role directly strengthens the AI safety talent pipeline by placing early-career individuals into high-impact roles and funding career transitions, thereby accelerating progress in AI safety.

• Experience in talent operations, recruiting, or ecosystem building within AI safety or effective altruism.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to design and execute hiring pipelines and grantmaking strategies.
• Data-driven mindset with experience maintaining data quality for cross-organisational sharing.
