Head of Middle East and North Africa

• Lead the regional team to develop, monitor, and implement work plans for delivering regional strategies.
• Set strategic direction, priorities, and protection responses for human rights defenders in the MENA region.
• Manage regional budget, risk, and operations while fostering an inclusive team culture.

This role directly protects human rights defenders at risk in the MENA region by directing resources and strategies to where they are most needed, ensuring defenders receive practical support and advocacy.

• At least 10 years' senior-level experience in a human rights organization or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong understanding of political and human rights contexts across the MENA region.
• High level of competence in English and Arabic.
• Significant management experience including people management, strategic planning, and budget management.

€73,327 - €91,382 per annum, 26 annual leave days, pension, paid health insurance, income protection & life assurance, employee assistance scheme, monthly well-being provisions.
