Head of Litigation

Lead impact litigation efforts addressing emerging risks in AI and biotechnology through creative legal strategies and court advocacy.
- Manage litigation department staff and develop strategies for private actions, amicus briefs, and FOIA litigation on AI and biotech risks.
- Find and cultivate relationships with potential clients, scientific experts, and stakeholders across legal, scientific, and policy communities.
- Represent LASST in legal proceedings, policy discussions, media interviews, and track case outcomes to inform strategy.
- Requires 15+ years litigation or court-focused experience including clerkships; Juris Doctorate and active US state bar license.
- Prior public-interest work in biosecurity, AI safety, or science/tech policy strongly preferred.
