Hardware Engineer

• Design the device enclosure from concept to DFM-ready, including IP-rated sealing, UV-resistant materials, and conductor clamping interface.
• Manage mechanical integration of PCBs, battery, and connectors inside the enclosure, and define thermal management approach.
• Support electrical engineering work outside the RF domain, including connector selection, cable harness specification, and analog support circuits.
• Develop environmental test plans and produce mechanical drawings and assembly documentation for manufacturing.

This role directly contributes to building reliable, weather-resistant hardware for grid-edge devices, enabling more resilient and efficient energy infrastructure that supports the transition to a sustainable energy system.

• 3+ years in product hardware engineering with at least one outdoor or industrial product shipped.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO; able to produce production-ready drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with IP-rated enclosure design (sealing, gaskets, fasteners).
• Electrical fluency: able to read schematics, specify connectors and cable assemblies.
