Geospatial Data Architect - Earth Observation & Climate Services

• Advise and guide AI-ready data architecture and geospatial AI service definition for institutional clients.
• Design and define overall system architecture and technology approach, including harmonisation of heterogeneous data.
• Create detailed technical specifications for external partners and review deliverables to ensure quality.
• Support development of data governance guidelines and ethical AI use, and conduct capacity development activities.

This role directly supports climate change mitigation and adaptation by enabling evidence-based decision-making through Earth Observation data, helping regions become resilient and climate neutral.

• More than five years of experience with data and geospatial analysis, ideally in climate/environmental projects.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and practical geospatial data engineering (satellite imagery, PostGIS, cloud platforms, Docker).
• Skilled in Python and GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS), with experience in data science and spatial data analysis.
• Experience managing external teams/contractors and coordinating complex technical work.

Fixed-term contract for 12 months with possibility of extension. Remote-first approach with high flexibility. Salary ranges are country-specific; most salaries fall between 80% and 120% of the midpoint. Inclusive workplace committed to diversity.
