Role details
A request for proposals funding research, policy, and institutional work to help middle powers maintain relevance and influence in transformative AI development and governance.
- Support policymaker awareness, national AI strategies, and public communication on transformative AI risks and opportunities.
- Build middle power leverage through data center buildout, semiconductor supply chain strategy, and downstream industrial AI applications.
- Develop compute-for-access deals, enforce EU AI Act compliance, and coordinate coalitions among middle powers on safety requirements.
- Fund independent evaluation, verification technology, and diplomatic infrastructure to support US-China AI governance agreements.
- Grow talent pipelines through fellowships, convenings, and new organizations combining AI expertise with local policy credibility.
