Fractional Development Director

• Lead the development and execution of CXC's fundraising strategy to meet short- and long-term revenue goals.
• Manage and grow a pipeline of institutional donors, including identifying and cultivating new foundation leads.
• Lead the full lifecycle of grant writing, reporting, and stewardship.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities aligned with CXC's mission.

This role directly advances equitable, evidence-based climate policy at the state level by securing the resources needed to support applied research, policy design, and a national network of advocates, accelerating the transition to a zero-emissions economy.

• 7+ years of experience in development or fundraising with demonstrated success in securing and managing foundation grants.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; able to translate complex ideas into compelling pitches.
• Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative style, and a relationship-centered approach.
• Experience in climate philanthropy or environmental and/or state-level advocacy is required.

Total compensation includes health benefits, professional development opportunities, generous paid time off, 17 paid holidays, a technology stipend, and a flexible schedule. This is a part-time (20-25 hours/week), fully remote position with a salary range of $60,000 to $67,850 based on experience.
