Mission

What you will drive

  • Act as SOLV Energyโ€™s subject matter expert for fire protection and life safety for large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hybrid renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and maintain fire project design standards, specifications, and scopes of work; lead technical bid evaluations and manage third-party engineering firms.
  • Provide project-level oversight including basis-of-design documents, QA/QC of work products, and interface with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical training across the organization.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum 10 years of fire protection engineering experience with at least 2 years in energy infrastructure and BESS design.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Fire Protection Engineering preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of fire protection engineering principles and working knowledge of applicable codes (NFPA, IBC, UL 9540/9540A, etc.).
