How to apply for Field Service Technician II – Solar
New Energy Equity (NEE)
About New Energy Equity (NEE)
New Energy Equity has financed and developed over 330MW of solar projects since 2013. The company focuses on clean electricity and uses Energy Support Services to maintain those systems. This role is field-based in the Las Cruces, New Mexico area, not remote.
About the role
You will work independently on advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar and energy storage systems. You operate safely in high-voltage environments without direct supervision and guide junior technicians on site. The role has a defined pathway toward Technician III.
A typical day
You drive from your home to solar sites in and around Las Cruces, typically within 30–90 minutes. You perform advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on high-voltage systems without direct supervision, and may guide junior technicians on site. Most days run Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm or 8am–4pm, with rotational Saturday on-call from 8am–12pm and overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.
Who New Energy Equity (NEE) is looking for
