Job description
Lead the design, launch, and execution of AI safety research fellowship programs with partner organizations and internal cohorts.
- Set fellowship strategy, identify partner organizations, and design new programs with mentors, cohort sizes, and timelines.
- Hire and lead Research Project Managers; run cohorts directly until team is built, including participant selection and weekly support.
- Connect fellows and teams with research mentors, funding opportunities, and jobs in AI safety.
- Conduct impact analysis to iteratively improve fellowship operations, systems, and participant outcomes.
- Requires high agency, deep AI safety knowledge with strategic perspective, and demonstrated talent for identifying promising researchers.
