What you will drive
- Conduct discrete research for administrative comments and appeals, litigation, and campaign materials on energy projects and regulations.
- Draft broader, long-term research memos on key emerging technical, economic, and/or policy issues within the energy transition.

This externship supports Earthjustice's International Program in establishing and enforcing legal protections for the environment, climate, and public health, directly contributing to combating climate change and preserving ecosystems.
Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Enrolled in an undergraduate environmental science (or related field) program with expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement.
- Outstanding research skills, including scientific literature reviews and basic quantitative data analyses.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Unpaid externship; must receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement. Remote work within the U.S. or hybrid from San Francisco, CA. Commitment of at least 10 hours/week for 10-12 weeks.
