Externship and Volunteer Program (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027)

• Conduct legal and policy research for an aquatic animal law textbook and publications on dogs in laboratories.
• Review scientific literature and government reports to support research objectives.
• Edit and cite-check scholarly manuscripts, presentations, and educational resources.
• Prepare research summaries, reports, and written materials for program use.

This role advances legal protections for animals by contributing to scholarly resources that inform advocacy and policy change for aquatic animals and dogs in laboratories.

• Interest in animal law and animal protection issues.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to review scientific literature and government reports.
• Attention to detail for editing and cite-checking.

This is an unpaid externship/volunteer program. Benefits include gaining experience in animal law, networking with professionals, and contributing to impactful research.
