Executive Director

• Lead statewide advocacy and policy efforts for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Oversee daily operations, staff, finances, compliance, and fundraising.
• Support local chapters by providing guidance, training, and resources.
• Serve as the organization's primary spokesperson and advocate, building relationships with stakeholders.

This role directly advances the rights and inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Connecticut, shaping public policy and supporting a network of local chapters that serve thousands.

• At least five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the social or human services sector.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated fundraising expertise.
• Knowledge of services and advocacy for individuals with I/DD preferred; experience in community organizing and working with governing boards preferred.

Annual salary in the $100,000 range, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid leave, a stipend for individual health coverage, and contributions to an IRA.
