How to apply for ESG Analyst (UAE)

Novisto

About Novisto

Novisto is a fast-growing ESG data and reporting platform that helps companies turn sustainability goals into measurable action. As a remote-first company with a strong presence in the UAE, it offers the chance to work at the intersection of ESG, technology, and customer success. Employees are empowered to shape product direction and scale ESG expertise across the organization.

About the role

As an ESG Analyst at Novisto, you'll be the bridge between customers and the platform, owning onboarding, adoption, and ESG advisory services. You'll also feed customer insights back to Product, test new features, and help scale ESG knowledge internally. This is a high-impact role that directly influences how companies manage their ESG data and reporting.

A typical day

You might start with a customer onboarding call, configuring their environment and customizing metrics. Later, you'd collaborate with Product to test a new feature and provide feedback, then prepare an executive summary for a client's ESG report. You'd also share best practices in an internal training session, helping colleagues stay aligned on ESG trends.

Who Novisto is looking for

  • 2–4 years of experience in ESG advisory, sustainability consulting, or a related field, with a strong understanding of ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage customer onboarding and adoption for SaaS or data platforms, including environment setup, metric customization, and data input.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present executive-ready outputs and translate customer needs into product requirements.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively across time zones, with a proactive mindset for sharing knowledge and best practices.

Tips for this application

  • Highlight any experience with ESG reporting platforms or data management tools—Novisto is a tech company, so show you can learn software quickly.
  • Quantify your ESG advisory impact: e.g., 'Helped 10+ clients align with TCFD recommendations' or 'Reduced onboarding time by 30% through process improvements.'
  • Demonstrate familiarity with UAE ESG regulations and regional sustainability priorities, as the role is UAE-focused.
  • Show you can collaborate cross-functionally: mention specific instances where you worked with Product, Sales, or Customer Success to improve a platform.
  • Include a brief example of how you've scaled ESG knowledge internally (e.g., created training materials, led workshops) to align with Novisto's emphasis on internal learning.

What to cover in your cover letter

['Your hands-on experience in ESG advisory and customer onboarding, ideally in a SaaS or tech environment.', 'Your ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and work with Product teams to test and launch new features.', 'Your track record of delivering executive-ready ESG outputs and presenting to senior stakeholders.', 'Your passion for scaling ESG expertise internally and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.']

Research before applying

  • Explore Novisto's platform features and customer case studies to understand how they differentiate from competitors like Workiva or Persefoni.
  • Research UAE ESG regulations and initiatives (e.g., UAE Net Zero 2050, ADX ESG disclosure guidelines) to speak knowledgeably about the regional context.
  • Review Novisto's recent product updates, blog posts, or press releases to understand their current priorities and roadmap.
  • Look up the backgrounds of the Customer Success and Product teams on LinkedIn to understand who you'd be working with and their focus areas.

Likely interview topics

Based on the job description, expect questions about:

  • How would you approach onboarding a new customer onto Novisto's platform, from environment creation to data input?
  • Can you walk us through an ESG advisory project you led, including how you presented findings to executives?
  • Describe a time you translated a customer's needs into a product requirement and collaborated with Product to implement it.
  • How do you stay up-to-date with evolving ESG frameworks and regulations, especially in the UAE?
  • Give an example of how you've shared ESG knowledge internally to help scale expertise across an organization.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Focusing only on ESG theory without demonstrating how you've applied it in a customer-facing or platform context.
  • Ignoring the tech aspect: not showing willingness or ability to learn and test software functionalities.
  • Being vague about your experience with customer onboarding or adoption—Novisto needs someone who can own the process end-to-end.
