How to apply for Enterprise Account Executive
Elicit
About Elicit
Elicit is a public benefit company building an AI research assistant that uses language models to help researchers determine what is true and make better decisions. Its product is a scalable ML system focused on systematicity and transparency, supervising process rather than outcomes, and it is used by hundreds of thousands of researchers in biomedicine, health economics, and computer science. The company has reached strong product-market fit and now sees significant inbound interest from leading research-driven enterprises.
About the role
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will own and close enterprise deals across the full sales cycle, from discovery through demo, proposal, negotiation, and signature. You will run consultative sales processes, mapping complex research workflows and co-developing solutions with researchers, scientists, and executives. You will partner directly with the founders and product team to shape strategy and build playbooks for landing and expanding in life sciences, biotech, and pharma.
A typical day
You might start by reviewing inbound interest from research-driven enterprises and prioritizing key opportunities. Later, you could run a discovery call with researchers and executives, then work with the founders or product team to tailor a demo or proposal. The day may end with updating deal notes and planning next steps for negotiation or expansion.

Likely interview topics
Based on the job description, expect questions about:
- Walk through a complex enterprise deal you closed from discovery to signature, including how you navigated multiple stakeholders.
- How would you map a research workflow at a large pharma or biotech company to identify pain points Elicit can solve?
- How do you translate AI capabilities into business and research value for researchers, scientists, and executives?
- Describe a time you partnered with founders or product teams to build a sales playbook or strategy.
- Why do you want to sell an AI research assistant, and how would you approach the life sciences, biotech, and pharma market?
Common mistakes to avoid
- Submitting a generic sales resume that does not mention life sciences, biotech, pharma, or research workflows.
- Focusing only on quota numbers without explaining how you ran consultative, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
- Ignoring the AI and research context; not showing how you would translate technical capabilities into value for researchers and executives.
