Engineer Principal – Software Autonomy & Active Safety

• Lead the development and testing of embedded software for driver assistance and unmanned ground vehicles, including real-time control algorithms, computer vision, sensor processing, and communication networks.
• Perform complex software development, architecture design, and engineering calculations; manage project schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners; provide mentorship to entry-level engineers.

This role advances active safety and autonomous vehicle technologies for specialty trucks and access equipment, enhancing the safety of soldiers, firefighters, and communities while improving operational efficiency.

• Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in programming embedded controllers in C/C++, Simulink, or PLC languages.
• 5+ years of experience with software testing, preferably vehicle-specific.
• 3+ years of experience with GUI software development, preferably with QT.
