Energy Auditor

Job Description

The job involves conducting energy and water audits of various real estate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy and water audits of multifamily, hotel, condominium, and other real estate facilities to determine eligibility for conservation measures
• Analyze findings, establish baselines for energy and water use, identify energy sources, and recommend solutions and technologies
• Compose and present audit reports containing analysis results and recommendations for improved energy and water efficiency
• Support sales team in designing conservation programs, generating proposals, and assisting field teams

This role directly contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions, conserving billions of gallons of water, and saving millions of kilowatts of energy through energy and water efficiency initiatives in real estate facilities.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience conducting comprehensive energy audits (three to five years preferred)
• Certification from Building Performance Institute or commitment to obtain needed certifications within six months of start
• Thorough understanding of buildings and building systems including lighting, building envelope, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Ability to travel nationally up to 70% of the time to conduct in-field conservation assessments
