How to apply for End of Year Campaign Manager

Elba Hope Foundation

About Elba Hope Foundation

The Elba Hope Foundation is a nonprofit focused on sustainable progress for Africans and the African Diaspora. Its work spans agriculture, conservation, food security, education, youth advocacy, and social justice. The foundation prioritizes local leadership, cultural knowledge, and community-driven solutions.

About the role

As the End of Year Campaign Manager, you will own the day-to-day delivery of the 2026 End of Year Campaign. You will turn an existing strategy into an executable Asana workspace and manage the campaign through to completion. This is a remote, project-based contract role with defined deliverables, and you must be physically based in the US.

A typical day

A typical day might involve updating the Asana workspace with new tasks, checking in with team members on progress, and adjusting timelines to keep the campaign on track. You might also review campaign materials, coordinate with external partners, and report on deliverables to foundation leadership. Since this is remote and project-based, your schedule may vary depending on the phase of the campaign.

Who Elba Hope Foundation is looking for

  • Has a deep contextual understanding of Africa and the African Diaspora, whether through lived experience, long-term professional work, or personal connection to the regions and communities the foundation serves.
  • Demonstrates humility, accountability, and a clear commitment to working in partnership with diverse stakeholders.
  • Is experienced in project management, specifically building and managing Asana workspaces and turning strategy into actionable tasks.
  • Has prior experience managing end-of-year fundraising or advocacy campaigns, ideally in a nonprofit setting.
  • Can work independently in a remote, project-based role and manage variable time commitments to meet deliverables.

Tips for this application

  • In your application, explicitly state how you meet the US-based requirement. Include your location if it is not obvious from your resume.
  • Describe your experience with Asana in detail. Mention specific projects where you built or managed an Asana workspace, including the size and complexity.
  • Show your connection to Africa or the African Diaspora. This could be through work, volunteer experience, or personal background. Be concrete.
  • Provide examples of end-of-year campaigns you have managed. Include the campaign goal, your role, and the outcome.
  • Address the project-based nature of the role. Explain how you manage variable workloads and deliver on defined deadlines.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Failing to demonstrate specific experience with Asana or similar project management tools, since the role requires building an Asana workspace.
  • Ignoring the US-based requirement and applying from outside the United States, which would make you ineligible.
