Mission

What you will drive

  • Proactively monitor deliverability health across 60+ nonprofit and political clients, identifying reputation issues, inbox placement dips, authentication failures, and blocklist risks before they affect campaign performance.
  • Serve as MissionWiredโ€™s lead technical resource on deliverability incidents, diagnosing root causes and recommending practical, time-sensitive next steps.
  • Lead mitigation efforts with mailbox providers, ESPs, and external partners; review and advise on email authentication and sending infrastructure (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, alignment, domain configuration).
  • Build repeatable processes, documentation, and internal guidance; train and mentor internal team members on email deliverability fundamentals.

Impact

The difference you'll make

This role ensures that fundraising and advocacy emails from nonprofits and progressive political campaigns reach supporters' inboxes, directly enabling mission-critical revenue and mobilization efforts for social change.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 4+ years of direct, hands-on experience in email deliverability, preferably in an agency or high-volume sending environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of email authentication and sender infrastructure (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, alignment) and current bulk-sender expectations from major mailbox providers.
  • Strong experience with deliverability monitoring tools (Inbox Monster, Everest/Validity).
  • Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; comfort working independently as a consultant.
