About EV Life
Founded in 2020, EV Life is on a mission to accelerate the consumer transition to electric vehicles. Our AI-powered EV Incentives Engine drives real-time, personalized EV Savings Calculators proven to increase digital retail EV sales for automakers and dealers.
Our customers include Hyundai, Nissan, Genesis, and Mercedes-Benz.
Position Overview
We're seeking a Director of Partnerships to take our founder-led sales motion and catalyze it at scale. This isn't just another sales role — it's an opportunity to define how EV incentives get sold into an industry that badly needs them, across three connected channels: OEMs, dealerships and dealer groups, and the large dealership technology platforms that put EV Life in front of thousands of rooftops at once.
We're looking for someone who speaks dealer fluently — who knows what a desk manager cares about, why the GM buys, and how OEM co-op dollars work — and who gets energized by being the first dedicated commercial hire, not intimidated by it.
Key Responsibilities
Own the sales pipeline end-to-end across all three channels: prospecting, demos, pilots, closing, and renewal
Collaborate with EV Life's founders on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy
Build and grow OEM programs — national and regional pilots, co-marketing, and preferred-vendor placements alongside our existing Tier 1 OEM deployments
Land and expand relationships with franchise dealer groups, from single-point stores to top dealer groups
Open and structure integration partnerships with major dealership technology providers — website platforms, digital retailing tools, and DMS vendors — so EV Life ships embedded across their dealer networks
Translate dealer pain (EV inventory sitting on lots, incentive confusion, unsure sales staff) into EV Life solutions
Required Qualifications
3-5+ years in automotive retail, EV sales, or selling software/services into dealerships, OEMs, or dealer-tech platforms
You've lived at least one side of the desk: EV-brand retail leadership, a dealer group (EV director, variable ops, digital retail), an OEM field/national role, or a dealer-facing SaaS vendor
Track record of sourcing and closing your own deals
Self-directed: comfortable setting your own pipeline targets and reporting outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships with auto OEMs, tech providers, dealer GMs, or dealer principals
Experience structuring integration or reseller partnerships with major dealer-tech providers
A founder's mindset with a bias towards action: the persistence to hit roadblocks, think outside the box, and create new solutions to problems
Familiarity with the EV rebate and incentive landscape
Location
Remote with some travel for conferences, dealer visits, and meetups with partners and teammates. (We founded EV Life as a remote-first team before COVID made it cool.)
North American time zones are strongly preferred.
Part Time to Hire
Initially, this role is part time (10–20 hrs/week) with a goal of growing into a full-time leadership role.
How to Apply
Your application should contain your resume and a short note on why you're interested in the role.
Please submit through this platform or email your application to [email protected] with the subject line: "Director of Partnerships: [Applicant FirstName LastName]"
