Director of Development

• Develop and execute a focused 90-day individual giving plan to re-engage prior donors and cultivate new supporters.
• Conduct donor outreach through personal calls, in-person meetings, and personalized communications, and support donor solicitations.
• Strengthen donor stewardship practices including timely thank-you outreach, impact updates, and relationship-building.
• Serve as a fundraising thought partner to the Executive Director, assisting with donor meeting preparation and strategy.

This role directly strengthens the capacity of Tennessee Resettlement Aid to support refugee and immigrant families in Middle Tennessee, helping them achieve stability, dignity, and self-sufficiency through essential services and community integration.

• Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, or individual giving.
• Comfort initiating donor calls, securing meetings, and making direct asks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional presence.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and local to Nashville/Middle Tennessee with ability to meet donors in person.

Part-time contract position (approximately 20 hours per week), initial 3-month term with potential for extension, flexible schedule, compensation commensurate with experience.

Tennessee Resettlement Aid (TRA) is a Nashville-based nonprofit serving refugee and immigrant families in Middle Tennessee by filling critical gaps in resettlement and integration through culturally appropriate food assistance, home furnishings, school support, and other essential services.
