Director, Grid Strategy & Utility Planning

• Lead Solar Landscape's grid strategy by evaluating utility planning frameworks, infrastructure investments, and grid constraints to accelerate distributed solar and battery storage deployment.
• Engage utility planning and engineering teams to increase hosting capacity on constrained circuits and advance DER integration strategies.
• Develop and advance pilot initiatives such as DERMS, dynamic hosting capacity, flexible interconnection, and non-wire alternatives.
• Translate utility planning data into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.

This role directly accelerates the deployment of clean, distributed solar energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and helping reshape how energy is built in the U.S. to combat climate change.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 10–20+ years of experience in electric utility planning, transmission/distribution engineering, grid modernization, or DER integration.
• Deep understanding of utility planning methodologies, system constraints, and grid technologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence utility stakeholders.
