Director - Energy Regulatory Policy

• Develop and execute comprehensive regulatory engagement strategies at state utility commissions and other agencies to expand markets for advanced energy and accelerate the transition to 100% clean energy.
• Collaborate with United team members and member companies to develop policy positions, file comments, and participate in proceedings on grid flexibility, virtual power plants, utility business model reform, and other key issues.
• Manage and mentor early career team members, supporting United's annual portfolio planning process with quantitative analysis of advanced energy market potential and emissions benefits.

This role directly shapes state-level regulatory policies to accelerate the adoption of clean energy, reducing carbon emissions and advancing the U.S. transition to a 100% clean energy economy.

• 7-10 years of professional experience including utility regulatory proceedings and policy development, engagement in energy or transportation sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy preferred; Master's degree a plus.
• Experience managing and training a team; exceptional professional writing skills, particularly regulatory filings.
• Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and communication skills, clean energy focused, and willing to travel up to 30%.

Salary starting at $120,000.
