Mission
What you will drive
- Lead the vision, strategy, and technical roadmap of the Autonomy Perception team, advancing May's core autonomy software stack.
- Deliver innovative improvements to perception technology including object detection, classification, tracking, and prediction.
- Work cross-functionally with Vehicle Engineering, Product, and Operations to solve and deploy autonomy perception challenges.
- Lead design of next-generation sensor suites and manage team hiring, planning, and execution.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 10+ years of engineering experience with 7+ years in software-focused robotics or mission-critical systems.
- PhD or master's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., robotics, computer science, computer engineering).
- Experience leading a team of 10+ engineers and solving complex autonomy problems as a principal or director.
- Deep technical knowledge in multi-sensor fusion, object detection, tracking, and behavior prediction.
