Your Impact as a Director, Asset Management:

The Director of Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the performance, reliability, and commercial success of utility-scale Energy Storage Systems. This role ensures the assets operate efficiently, meet performance and compliance targets, and deliver expected returns throughout their lifecycle. The Asset Manager will serve as the key liaison among internal stakeholders, O&M providers, QSEs, off-takers and utility partners.



Your Mission:

    Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure compliance with ERCOT, NERC, and local regulatory requirements.
    • Manage contracts for NERC registration and compliance services and periodic ERCOT testing.
    • Maintain accurate and auditable records of operational events, tests, and maintenance.
    • Assist in preparing asset reports for internal stakeholders, investors, and regulators.
    • Commercial Optimization

      • Coordinate with distribution service provider, ERCOT, QSE and offtake partners to validate operational revenues and cost.
      • Ensure all invoices and revenue/cost statements are accurate and ensure timely payment (including, Property tax, offtake revenue, Aux energy cost etc.).
      • Support forecasting, budgeting, and revenue modelling activities.
      • Operations & Maintenance

        • Work closely with internal and external O&M providers to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance and BESS testing.
        • Review and manage service agreements, warranty obligations, and long-term service plans.
        • Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented and reported.
        • Transition and Stakeholder Support

          • Support project handoff from construction to operations, ensuring asset readiness.
          • Serve as the primary point of contact for asset-related inquiries and issues.
          • Asset Performance Management

            • Monitor operational performance of BESS assets via EMS/SCADA systems.
            • Identify underperformance or anomalies and coordinate resolution with field and OEM teams.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in asset management, operations, or performance monitoring in the energy sector (BESS or renewables preferred).
  • Over 3 years of experience managing NERC Bulk Electric System (BES) compliance activities.
  • Strong understanding of financial and commercial aspects of energy storage projects.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA, EMS systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO markets (ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, etc.) and revenue strategies.
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in asset management platforms.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 25%.
  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
