Mission

What you will drive

  • Build and manage Lafiya's funding pipeline by identifying, researching, and qualifying new funding opportunities from foundations, philanthropists, family offices, bilateral and multilateral donors, and other strategic partners.
  • Lead proposal and material development by writing compelling letters of inquiry, concept notes, grant applications, and donor proposals tailored to each funder's interests and priorities.
  • Oversee donor stewardship by coordinating reports, updates, and other relationship-management activities, ensuring timely follow-up on donor conversations, requests, and commitments.

The funding you secure directly determines how many women Lafiya can reach with life-saving contraception, enabling access to contraception in hard-to-reach communities in northern Nigeria.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Completed bachelorโ€™s degree and 5โ€“8 years of fundraising experience in a non-profit working on global health, livelihoods, or a related development sector.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing 6- to 7-figure grants from foundations, corporate donors, major donors, and/or government grants.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, strong strategic thinking, and comfort working with data, outcomes, and budgets.
  • Proficiency with digital work tools including Google Workspace and Slack.

ยฃ45,000 gross per year (UK-based; adjusted for cost of living for candidates outside UK).
