Mission
What you will drive
- Design, develop, and implement quantitative behavior metrics that assess AV performance across diverse driving scenarios and geofences
- Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to track simulation and fleet metrics across geographies and software versions
- Identify performance gaps and regressions by analyzing large-scale vehicle logs and simulation data
- Drive the definition of metric thresholds and acceptance criteria to support geofence expansion decisions
Impact
The difference you'll make
This role directly contributes to the safe and scalable deployment of autonomous vehicles, enabling a future of sustainable, efficient, and accessible urban mobility.
Profile
What makes you a great fit
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on metric design and development or performance evaluation
- Strong proficiency in Python in production environments with standard repo practices
- Experience working with time-series or sensor data; familiarity with robotics or AV data is a plus
Benefits
What's in it for you
Compensation and benefits are competitive, though specific details are not provided in the posting. Zoox offers a dynamic work environment at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and design.
