Data Engineer I

• Ensure quality assurance with rigorous testing procedures for Greenlight’s core data products in Retool and Vercel.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and implement UI/UX updates and technical fixes for cross-functional teams.
• Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting existing data pipelines and database connections.
• Own data engineering projects, including extracting and structuring data from public or proprietary sources for campaign needs.

This role directly supports the clean energy transition by ensuring reliable data products that empower grassroots campaigns to win permitting approvals for clean energy projects, accelerating the shift to renewable energy.

• At least 1-2 years of experience working in data, with preference for issue advocacy or political campaigns.
• Strong technical communication skills and attention to detail, including experience producing technical documentation.
• Good working knowledge of Python, SQL, Git, dbt and ability to learn new data tools efficiently.
• Experience working collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders and orientation toward rapid prototyping.

Salary range: $60,000-$85,000. Remote work with occasional in-person time. Opportunity to work at a leading grassroots campaign force for clean energy.
