🔍 Research Before Applying

To stand out, make sure you've researched:

  • Understand RES's portfolio: their current renewable energy projects, technologies (wind, solar, storage), and global footprint.
  • Look into RES's recent news or press releases about digital transformation, data initiatives, or AI adoption.
  • Familiarize yourself with the challenges in the renewable energy sector related to data analytics, such as predictive maintenance, resource forecasting, and grid integration.
  • Review RES's sustainability commitments and how they measure impact, to align your answers with their corporate goals.

💬 Prepare for These Interview Topics

Based on this role, you may be asked about:

1 Describe a complex analytics project you led from conception to delivery. What was the business impact?
2 How have you applied generative AI (like LLMs or RAG) in a business context? What challenges did you face?
3 How do you ensure data governance and trust in the insights you deliver to senior leaders?
4 Walk us through your experience with semantic data modeling (Kimball, star schema). How did you design a model for a specific business need?
5 How would you approach building an AI solution to forecast energy generation or demand for a renewable energy company?

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Underestimating the importance of data governance and trust; this role is about 'trusted, governed insight'—make sure to address this. - Overemphasizing academic knowledge without real-world application; the role requires hands-on delivery with measurable impact. - Neglecting to mention your experience with Power BI and semantic modeling, as these are core requirements. - Failing to demonstrate leadership and ownership skills; this is a Technical Lead role, so show examples of leading teams or projects.
