Course, AI Agents and the Law (Summer 2026)

This course teaches how law and policy apply to increasingly capable AI agents through two modules:

• Build foundational knowledge of AI agents, technical concepts, and current governance mechanisms.
• Train participants to conduct original research across liability, legal alignment, infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks.
• Develop research proposals for an optional writing competition with cash prizes.

This course equips participants to shape the legal and policy frameworks governing AI agents, helping ensure responsible development and deployment of increasingly autonomous systems.

• Interest in AI policy and governance.
• Ability to engage with technical and legal concepts.
• Research and writing skills for policy analysis.
