What you will drive
Develop legal advocacy strategies addressing AI and biotechnology risks through impact litigation, policy work, and public education.
- Deploy impact litigation strategies, amicus briefs, FOIA requests, and legal advice on emerging AI and biosecurity risks.
- Collaborate with scientific experts to translate technical developments into actionable legal strategies and regulatory analysis.
- Represent LASST in legal proceedings, policy discussions, media interviews, and draft briefs, policy papers, and public-facing content.
- JD from top law school, licensed to practice in at least one US state, and 1–3 years litigation or court-focused experience.
- Prior work in biosecurity, AI safety, science/tech policy, or plaintiff-side litigation strongly preferred.
