Consultant (Gender Expert)

• Operationalize the Gender Action Plan (GAP) and ensure gender mainstreaming across all project components.
• Develop gender-responsive M&E frameworks, indicators, and data collection tools.
• Build capacity of project staff and stakeholders on gender mainstreaming.
• Promote women's participation and leadership in fisheries management.

This role ensures that gender equality and women's empowerment are systematically integrated into sustainable fisheries management in the Red Sea, leading to more inclusive and effective conservation and livelihood outcomes.

• Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Fisheries, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in gender mainstreaming in development projects, preferably in fisheries or natural resource management.
• Experience integrating gender into M&E systems and sex-disaggregated data.
• Fluency in Arabic strongly desired.

Consultancy contract initially for 12 months with possibility of extension. Compensation details not specified.
