Mission
What you will drive
The consultant will conduct an independent external audit of the project's financial statements and related records for the GFFO-funded project in Lebanon and Syria. Key responsibilities include:
- Examining financial records to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with donor requirements and local regulations.
- Assessing bank and cash management, field-level financial reviews, and eligibility of expenditures.
- Issuing an audit report with an opinion and a management letter with recommendations.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications for the auditor:
- Independent auditor (individual or firm) recognized under GAAS and member of IFAC or similar.
- Demonstrated knowledge of auditing in the non-profit/humanitarian sector and prior experience with GFFO-funded projects.
- Practical knowledge of financial regulations and tax compliance in Lebanon and Syria.
- Ability to apply ISA or IDW Auditing Standards.
Benefits
What's in it for you
Payment schedule: 40% upon contract signing, 60% upon submission and approval of final audit report. The consultancy is expected to be completed by 15 October 2026.
