Consultancy: Third Party External Audit- Lebanon and Syria

The consultant will conduct an independent external audit of the project's financial statements and related records for the GFFO-funded project in Lebanon and Syria. Key responsibilities include:

• Examining financial records to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with donor requirements and local regulations.
• Assessing bank and cash management, field-level financial reviews, and eligibility of expenditures.
• Issuing an audit report with an opinion and a management letter with recommendations.

This audit ensures transparency, accountability, and donor confidence in humanitarian health and protection services for vulnerable populations including older people, persons with disabilities, and survivors of gender-based violence in Lebanon and Syria.

Required qualifications for the auditor:

• Independent auditor (individual or firm) recognized under GAAS and member of IFAC or similar.
• Demonstrated knowledge of auditing in the non-profit/humanitarian sector and prior experience with GFFO-funded projects.
• Practical knowledge of financial regulations and tax compliance in Lebanon and Syria.
• Ability to apply ISA or IDW Auditing Standards.

Payment schedule: 40% upon contract signing, 60% upon submission and approval of final audit report. The consultancy is expected to be completed by 15 October 2026.
