Mission
What you will drive
- Execute PBB's grassroots organizing strategy, including canvassing, one-on-one conversations, workshops, and community assemblies to engage residents in participatory budgeting.
- Design, implement, and manage PBB's volunteer program, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and leadership development.
- Mobilize residents for budget hearings, civic engagement opportunities, and advocacy campaigns, and facilitate educational programming on participatory budgeting and municipal budgets.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- At least 2-3 years of experience in community organizing, public service, or social justice.
- Proven ability to build authentic relationships with diverse community members through one-on-one conversations and community engagement.
- Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for advocacy or organizing programs.
- Strong project management, communication, and facilitation skills; familiarity with Birmingham's neighborhoods and civic landscape.
