Communications Manager, Climate Change & Environmental Justice

• Lead communications planning and strategy for all CCEJ initiatives, focusing on digital storytelling that supports policy advocacy.
• Write high-quality external communications copy, including digital content, newsletters, social media, op-eds, and policy-focused narratives.
• Manage media relations for CCEJ programs, including working with PR contractors and identifying story placement opportunities.
• Support CCEJ events, webinars, and trainings, and manage marketing for CCEJ events and the Federal Funding mailing list.

This role amplifies the impact of legal work on climate and environmental justice by translating client stories into narratives that build the case for policy change, thereby advancing equitable climate solutions and protecting frontline communities.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 4-5 years of communications experience, preferably in environmental or climate issues.
• Demonstrated knowledge of climate change and environmental justice concepts and policies.
• Experience developing communications strategies that support policy change, including narrative and storytelling-driven advocacy.
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong digital/social media writing ability and experience translating technical/legal/scientific information into engaging narratives.
