Civil OSP Design Engineer / Specialist

• Develop and review underground OSP designs for fiber optic network deployments, including conduit systems, duct banks, manholes, handholes, roadway crossings, and utility corridors.
• Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D to create and validate alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, and utility models, and perform clash detection and conflict analysis.
• Perform technical reviews of Civil OSP design packages, ensuring compliance with client standards, engineering requirements, and construction criteria.
• Coordinate with utility owners, municipalities, and permitting authorities, and provide engineering support during construction activities.

This role enables the expansion of reliable fiber optic networks, improving digital connectivity and supporting economic development, while ensuring infrastructure is designed sustainably and efficiently.

• Practical experience designing underground conduit networks, duct banks, handholes, manholes, and associated civil infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of municipal, DOT, utility, NEC, NESC, and client-specific requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.
