Chief of Staff

• Serve as a strategic partner to the President and Executive Director, shaping priorities and driving organizational alignment.
• Oversee board relations, including trustee engagement and governance infrastructure.
• Lead organizational culture and internal communications to reflect EDF's values.
• Manage executive team operations and drive cross-functional special initiatives.

This role enables EDF to navigate a pivotal moment in environmental advocacy, ensuring the organization can lead at scale and continue its mission of protecting the environment for the next fifty years.

• 15+ years of progressively senior experience, including in a Chief of Staff or senior advisory role within a complex organization.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's may substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
• Exceptional judgment, political acuity, and strategic foresight.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to write in executives' voices.
