Business Development Manager (Africa)

• Lead strategy and donor engagement to secure $2 million in annual revenue for HOT's work in Africa.
• Manage all phases of grant management including grant calendar, writing, compliance, and reporting.
• Research, plan, and write diverse grant proposals for foundation, bilateral, and multilateral funders.
• Collaborate with program teams to assemble compelling funding proposals and convey impact of open data in humanitarian action.

This role directly enables HOT's humanitarian mapping efforts across Africa by securing critical funding, empowering communities with open data for disaster response and development.

• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement for international development or humanitarian organizations.
• Proven ability to secure funding from foundation, bilateral, and multilateral sources.
• Strong organizational, process-focused, and project management skills.
• Excellent written communication and ability to convey impact of open data and digital technology.
