Business Applications Engineer, Workday

• Own day-to-day Workday administration including security management, business process configuration, EIB loading, tenant management, and end-user issue resolution.
• Serve as primary owner for integrations in and out of Workday, including Greenhouse, GL, immigration and benefits vendors, using Workday Studio and other tools.
• Lead biannual Workday release management, including reviewing release notes, assessing feature adoption, coordinating regression testing, and communicating changes.
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions, gather requirements from HR, Payroll, and IT, and set priorities for optimizations.

By optimizing Workday and connected People systems, this role enables Redwood Materials to scale its workforce efficiently, supporting the company's mission to localize the battery supply chain and drive the energy transition.

• 5–8 years of post-implementation Workday administration in a live tenant environment.
• Hands-on Workday configuration expertise: Core HCM required; two or more additional modules preferred (Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking).
• Demonstrated experience with EIB, Report Writer, Custom Advanced Reports, Calculated Fields, Business Process Framework, and security administration.
• Workday Studio experience strongly preferred; Workday Pro Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Full-time position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
