Board Member

• Act as thought partner to the Executive Director, providing honest feedback and pushback on hard problems.
• Hold the Executive Director and organization accountable, overseeing ED performance and making decisions on replacement if needed.
• Offer check and challenge on matters material to BERI's mission, reputation, or legal compliance.

This role ensures effective governance and accountability for an organization dedicated to reducing existential risks, thereby supporting critical work in AI safety and biosecurity.

• Experience in governance, leadership, or strategic oversight roles.
