Bird Tour Coordinator

• Plan and coordinate domestic and international birding field trips for ABC's major supporters, approximately three 3-4 day domestic trips/year and two week-long international trips/year.
• Arrange for ABC staff and/or experienced birding tour guides to lead trips, and lead select birding trips.
• Manage logistics related to travel, accommodations, permits, and schedules for ABC-led birding excursions.
• Promote ABC's mission by communicating with tour participants and industry professionals about ABC's conservation work.

This role strengthens ABC's relationships with donors by planning and executing exceptional birding experiences that highlight ABC's conservation efforts, thereby supporting vital conservation work for birds throughout the Americas.

• Proven experience as a birding tour leader, with strong bird identification skills and conservation knowledge.
• 5-7 years of experience organizing and leading birding trips, including international trips, and coordinating all logistics from lodging to meals to transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including strong customer service skills and the ability to engage and educate ABC's major supporters about conservation efforts.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and coordinate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
