BESS Senior Engineer

• Advise clients on battery technology selection, system sizing, and feasibility of BESS deployments in African markets.
• Conduct market and regulatory analyses, identify revenue streams, and support client decision-making through data-driven insights.
• Support BESS projects from early-stage design through contracting, construction, and commissioning, including technical specifications and procurement.
• Contribute to growth and standardization of storage offerings, develop tools and methodologies, and mentor colleagues on BESS topics.

This role accelerates the energy transition in Sub-Saharan Africa by enabling the integration of renewable energy through battery storage, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and improving energy access.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in BESS design and deployment focused on Li-ion technology.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical, structured, solution-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.

• Salary in line with experience plus laptop, medical aid allowance, phone allowance.
• 18 leave days (24 after 1 year), 13th month (end of year bonus).
• Flexible working / home office, international environment with projects in over 100 countries.
