Mission
What you will drive
- Provide direct legal services to families seeking funding to support children in out-of-home care, including representation in administrative fair hearings, re-hearings, writs of administrative mandamus, and appellate litigation.
- Work on impact litigation and local/statewide policy advocacy to remove systemic barriers for children and caregivers.
- Train and supervise volunteers, law clerks, and student interns; provide technical assistance to pro bono attorneys and staff.
- Conduct community outreach and develop benefits materials for clients and partners.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of legal experience, with demonstrated litigation experience including case evaluation, legal research and writing, discovery, negotiations, mediation, and hearings/trials.
- Experience with public benefits is helpful; Spanish fluency is highly preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, and advocacy skills; strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking abilities; ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
