Mission
What you will drive
- Lead voting rights litigation, policy advocacy, and voter protection efforts in Michigan, including impact litigation in state and federal courts.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with state-based organizations and coalitions, supporting community-driven advocacy and election protection initiatives.
- Provide legal advice, community education, and know-your-rights materials to partners, and coordinate volunteer attorney recruitment for Election Protection.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- J.D. and admission to the Michigan Bar required.
- For Program Counsel: at least 5 years combined experience in civil rights litigation, policy advocacy, and/or voting rights, including 3+ years litigation experience. For Senior Counsel: at least 8 years combined experience, including 5+ years litigation.
- Demonstrated impact litigation experience (federal court practice preferred) and legislative advocacy experience.
- Established working relationships with voting rights organizations/coalitions in Michigan; deep commitment to racial justice and community-driven advocacy.
Benefits

Salary range: $70,000โ$108,000 per year depending on experience ($70,000โ$89,500 for under 8 years; $90,000โ$108,000 for 8+ years).
