Associate Director of Development (Consultant)

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising and communications strategies for nonprofit newsrooms.
• Assist clients in securing transformational capital, drafting grants, designing donor cultivation, and strengthening membership campaigns.
• Develop and implement effective communications strategies to enhance client relationships within philanthropic communities.
• Oversee multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality consulting services.

This role helps nonprofit newsrooms achieve sustainable growth, enabling them to continue delivering vital services and programs that support community impact.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, or media, with a focus on journalism preferred.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising and communications strategies.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in grant writing and donor relations.

Base salary $90,000-$95,000 with opportunity for annual bonus. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance; paid time off (15 vacation days, 3 personal days, 12 sick days, 13 flexible holidays); and voluntary 401(k) with employer match. Fully remote position.
