Mission
What you will drive
- Lead legal strategy and provide hands-on support across the full BESS project lifecycle, from origination through financing and operations.
- Structure and negotiate key project agreements including site control, interconnection, procurement, construction, and O&M agreements.
- Provide senior legal oversight on permitting, environmental review, land use, and siting matters for utility-scale BESS projects.
- Advise on commercial risk allocation, project bankability, and offtake structuring to support project financing and portfolio growth.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 15+ years of relevant legal experience in law firm, in-house, or government agency with substantial energy project development experience.
- J.D. from accredited U.S. law school and active bar license in good standing; California, New York, or Texas bar preferred.
- Deep knowledge of permitting, environmental review, land use, interconnection, real estate, procurement, and ISO/RTO market issues for utility-scale BESS.
- Substantial experience with project finance transactions including construction lending, tax equity, and debt/equity capital markets.
