Android Developer

• Develop 75F's next-generation IoT applications for Smart Buildings to cut down significantly on energy consumption due to HVAC infrastructure while maintaining occupant comfort and productivity
• Design, implement, test, and deliver new features for the Android gateway application that runs algorithms for Smart Buildings and acts as a gateway to the cloud
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of cloud and firmware engineers in a scaled agile environment across different timezones
• Contribute to software methodologies, write user documentation, and participate in resolution of field problems with secure coding practices

This role contributes to climate action by developing IoT-based building automation solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption in commercial buildings, helping combat climate change through energy efficiency technology.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 8+ years of hands-on professional experience designing and developing applications and algorithms in Java and Kotlin for Android/Linux platforms (4+ years in Kotlin)
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, RESTful APIs, and open-source Android ecosystem
• Experience with testing libraries (Junit, Espresso, Roboelectric), Java package management tools (Gradle, Maven), offline storage, threading, performance tuning, and SDLC tools (Git, Azure Dev Ops)
