AI Lead, Strategy, and Operations

• Lead high-priority AI strategy and operations initiatives across Oklo’s business areas, translating AI capabilities into actionable execution plans with defined use cases, owners, timelines, risks, and measurable outcomes.
• Drive internal AI adoption across engineering, licensing, legal, operations, and corporate workflows, building lightweight systems to track initiatives, adoption metrics, and operational improvements.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, cycle times, quality, or decision-making, and partner with technical teams to integrate AI into plant design, monitoring, optimization, and deployment workflows.
• Support relationships with AI and enterprise technology partners, prepare executive-level recommendations on AI strategy and investment priorities, and establish practical standards for AI tool usage across teams.

This role ensures Oklo effectively applies AI internally and across its technology stack to improve performance, efficiency, scalability, and decision-making, helping shape how the company integrates emerging AI capabilities into the deployment of next-generation nuclear technology.

• 5–12 years of experience in strategy, operations, product, consulting, or similar cross-functional roles with demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from concept through execution in fast-moving environments.
• Experience identifying and implementing operational improvements or process efficiencies, with strong project management instincts including managing timelines, owners, dependencies, and risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing executive-level materials, and strong judgment to prioritize high-impact opportunities.
• Preferred: Experience with AI/ML tools or workflows, technical background in engineering, computer science, physics, or related fields, and familiarity with modern AI systems, data pipelines, or software tooling environments.

Salary: $220,000–$280,000 annually. Oklo offers flexible time off, equity, competitive pay, 401k, health insurance, FSA, flexible work hours, and other benefits. Remote employees travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter and for the first two weeks of onboarding.
