Mission

What you will drive

  • Provide legal representation and advocacy for prospective adoptive parents in foster care adoption matters.
  • Draft legal forms and court petitions, and appear as counsel at adoption finalization hearings.
  • Develop and manage pro bono legal support, train and supervise pro bono attorneys and interns.
  • Support policy advocacy and reform efforts around foster care adoption.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • JD degree and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, including litigation and case management.
  • Experience in child welfare, family law, probate guardianship, or immigration courts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage high-volume caseload.
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
