Vice President, Operations

• Lead the global operations strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals for growth, cost efficiency, and quality excellence.
• Manage key external manufacturing relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure supply continuity and operational excellence with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
• Drive the strategy and execution of global manufacturing capabilities, including evaluating investment opportunities for supply resilience.
• Oversee global supply chain, quality assurance/control, and engineering functions to support capacity expansion and process optimization.

This role enables Mara to scale its precision fermentation omega-3 oil production, contributing to sustainable human nutrition and environmental health by re-engineering nature's pantry and reducing reliance on traditional fish oil sources.

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, and ideally supply chain within biotech, nutraceutical, food manufacturing, or chemical industry.
• Proven success managing complex CMO partnerships and driving operational performance across global networks.
• Experience leading site development projects (greenfield or brownfield) and/or M&A-related operational integration.
• Strong background in supply chain strategy, quality systems, and engineering management; exceptional negotiation and cross-functional leadership skills.
